Freud launches FT3000 router

 

Number one router in the US hits the UK market

 

Freud, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of woodworking tools, today announced the launch of the FT3000 router.  The new generation router challenges all existing products on the market, based on its increased stability, safer control, reliability, quality of performance and value for money.  The FT3000 is the first major product brought to market since the appointment of Derek Thomas as Freud’s new managing director, and demonstrates the company’s commitment to innovations and product development.

 

The FT3000 has been developed by Freud’s world class R&D facility in Spain and is currently the leading router in the USA.  The highly automated manufacturing process utilised by Freud, as well as its global supply chain, enables the company to competitively price the FT3000, while at the same time incorporate new advanced features that make it the leading router on the market.  These include: 

 

The FT3000 weighs 5.9kg and is available in 240v and 110v, It has a 1900-watt variable speed motor, a dust extraction hood, front cutter guard for additional safety, and is also supplied with a 30mm guide bush.  Freud technicians have rigorously tested the FT3000 to ensure its reliability.  This included testing the product in an industrial environment, using cutter from bearing guided groovers and Victorian torus cutters, to full size panel raiser cutters.  Even after hundreds of meters of material were processed, there was no loss of performance from the FT3000.
